I walked out to get coffee and ran into 3 people I know who each told me about the friends facing massive rent hikes ( > $400 month.) This happens to me every day. 92K are homeless and this is fully untenable … 1/4

I know we are all divided on the supply question. But even supply people (I want more supply!) have to admit that more supply won’t reduce the rent quickly enough (or arguably at all at the hyper local level. (Regional, maybe…) 2/4

Good cause eviction would prevent untenable rent increases, allow for reasonable investment and return, and keep people housed. It’s an easy option 3/4
