Hear me out…what if instead of Twitter fights we had a 5-step public engagement process where various stakeholders from the local to borough and then ultimately the citywide level had the opportunity to debate and vote on land use actions?

ULURP gets a lot of shit from a lot of ppl. Myself included. I once pitched a story tentatively titled “ULURP Must Die.” But the more I looked into it the more I thought maybe it’s not the problem so much as SEQR & other rules around w gets disclosed & who pays for the reviews.
