i don’t disagree with this, necessarily. but i think that one thing this essay really gets at is that our role as socialists is not to accept compromises, it’s to create the conditions under which we don’t have to

and one thing i’ve observed in this debate is the sense that “there is not alternative” to either RAD or the Blueprint, or to the Blueprint as the only alternative to RAD - and THAT’s “managing expectations”
