      We are mostly taught about protest as being about convincing people in power to change their ideas, when it’s actually about convincing people in power that we can make them lose power. We are taught the former because it doesn’t work.

      This is protest as a policy-winning tactic though, right, not as a tool in an organizing strategy to get to a mass revolution. Like I don't think the Bolsheviks were engaged in staged concessions to electoralism b/ Feb and Oct 1917!

      Like at some point everyone has to decide of they're trying to build towards better policy outcomes in the current order or something more and shape their one, two, five year strategy plan accordingly, right?
