Its really hard when I'm doing my best with Shallot, and I have to hear unsupportive comments from my family. I'm sorry but if you get a dog that is abandoned in the PARK on July 4th weekend, the expectation that he will be completely normal within a month is absurd.

He's only been to training once (he will go more frequently starting this month), and is already a pro at some commands. He's less reactive, nicer to my friends, and way less yappy.

He's not perfect, and no dog will be perfect. But I'm celebrating the wins. The fact that he got potty trained in a month. The fact that he works out 5/7 days of the week with a disabled owner. We are doing our best.

Yall say adopt dont shop, and then when people adopt dogs who aren't like..idk perfect then we have to hear shit. I'm proud of him/us, and all that he teaches me.

Its honestly not even my dad, moreso my mom who has..never trained a dog in her life. Like what the fuck. All of these rude comments from friends and family who have never fucking had or trained dogs. Its not adding up :)

On July 14th, my family came over and he was aggressive and loud. He barked the ENTIRE time, and putting him in his crate made it worse. Last weekend he met my family at THEIR HOUSE, with THEIR DOG, he did not bark, he just layed down by my foot.

He had 2 moments of reactivity (he barked at my dad who was yelling jokingly), and stopped instantly when I commanded him too. I'm sorry. Was he supposed to bring a gift or something? He had a major transformation in just two weeks/?
