New legislation idea: if you’re a landlord and you’re caught denying someone housing based on their source of income more than once, your property will be seized.

I do think that the NTBOR is actually a way to close the daylight btwn sec 9 and sec 8, actually reform and address the problems w sec 8, use that massive (and relatively stable) funding stream as leverage towards municipalization maybe everywhere. Basically sec 8 is just money..

yes, but w/o necessary massive reform which will take years, advocating for sec 8 (as a solution to sec 9 or as social housing) is risky as a housing mvmt / we shouldn't do it b/c under current conditions it opens up more opportunities for tenant exploitation and discrimination
