It's a pretty short-sighted take to cheer on the loss of law-abiding people, not to mention businesses, from NYC. And it shows a very poor grasp of urban dynamics and economics.
Hi! This was a joke, but in all serious, this essay is extremely elitist and classist. The homeless are not responsible for the city’s problems - in fact they are bearing the brunt of them, far more than the author. I’d like our city’s leadership to tackle that problem first!
