The problem is that the 'outsiders' have no business running for mayor and the 'insiders' aren't strong enough.

trying to get at the idea of what real readiness to do the incredibly difficult job of mayor looks like as well as noting that the weaknesses of the various candidates makes this look like a pretty big & fairly scary crapshoot.
I guess I don’t think it’s a really a “big idea” job w perhaps exception of schools. All the big ideas seem like completely impossible empty promises to me. Gotta wrestle w Albany for big ideas

disagree, in part. as you indicate, take some of your big ideas to Albany and make them reality. but need to have them, as part of a vision for the city, and to be able to accomplish them via leadership/ management/ relationships/ movement building/ etc. & plenty can do locally.
