It's not an abolition of the Fair Housing Act, but it's a pretty substantial blow to fair housing, and it eliminates one of the major movement wins from Obama years. It's particularly concerning during a time when localities are going to get an infusion of $$ for housing/dev.
ultimately I think only a handful of places ever completed their AFFH req’s, which is basically to study and account for racism in ur local housing policy. It signals to America’s racist as fuck cities/towns that the fed gov won’t be enforcing fair housing act
