We didn't have enough power or the right policy tools to win. But the housing justice movement is stronger now than it was 5 years ago, and so are tenants' rights! Thanks to HSTPA +

So as millions of homes are potentially underwater, we should remember the lessons from 2008-2014. Private equity has tons of dry power, and is waiting in the wings to buy up our homes. This is really not a drill!!

But Benjamin's granddaughter has revived the TA AND is organizing their building on a rent strike. As thousands of homes have a questionable future, they (and we) have a second chance to win. Heart-warming, even on a snow day in May. cc
