when people have said 2.0 to me I’ve interpreted it as them thinking this old thing seems to have worked and wanting to do it again but not necessarily being that familiar w/ how it worked and how it would work in a 2.0 version. It seems more like nostalgia than a policy proposal

And the best proof of that is that I’ve heard it from advocates from all over the ideological spectrum. Someone should come up with a good policy idea and just call it Mitchell Lama 2.0 regardless of whether its structure looks anything like 1.0, as most ppl wouldn’t know the dif
