unfortunately i am unwilling to accept there is such thing as a "shimby" or a "phimby" absent 1) definition for what it means and more importantly 2) a serious organizing plan with base that can get us there which so far leaves us with an relatively unfortunate binary

it might be unfortunate but it's a very useful binary to describe the decisions that have to be made at the local level the types of people who oppose regular housing will oppose public housing 99% of the time
