Boris fought HARD for good cause eviction. Harder than almost anyone. Every single #TenantTuesday he strategized with tenant leaders, helped us whip votes in the Assembly and the Senate, and organized behind the scenes in the legislature to make this bill a reality. 2/4
When it turned out that it wasn't included in our final package, he was as devastated as any of us. I never saw anyone on the government side fight as hard for a tenant movement priority as the tenant movement itself before I saw @BorisSantosBK fight for this bill. 3/4

This thread brought back so much Albany memories to me. It also brought me to tears! 1) Bc I’m SO PROUD to be in this movement with you @ceaweaver and all the other housing activists, and 2) bc I knew once good cause didn’t pass, that WE would be BACK demanding it!
