I served for 2 terms on the nycdsa steering co. it was an incredibly formative experience; I love the org and what it’s taught me. Being in leadership is emotionally taxing and often thankless and cruel. 1/2

If we are gonna grow we need more transparency on what it takes to run this org BUT ALSO a lot more kindness and grace for (and collaboration with) those who step up to the plate. 2/2
